Rodent Control Expert
Most pest control companies are locking clients in contracts while being stuck in a continuous cycle of glue traps and poison bait stations (usually a second generation rodenticide like bromadiolone). They rarely change poison when clients report that rodents are still there after several months, sometimes years. Instead, telling homeowners it worked on the initial population, but others are moving in – which can be true but should not be assumed.
“This doesn’t make sense to me efficacy wise for many reasons; the main one being that it is scientifically proven that rats and mice can have a genetic resistance to second generation rodenticides. This can lead to a build up of poison in their system that can be lethal to pets and wildlife consuming them. This is likely the case in my first field study in mice.”
The most responsible method of rodent control is getting them outside and making sure they can’t get back in. “It’s easier said than done for most people, which is why I jumped in to help bridge these gaps.”
